Breakfast on Jost nad Kranjem

Its been a while since our last breakfast. Foggy weather and not willing to wake up really early, we chose Jost nad Kranjem. Sveti Jost nad Kranjem is a settlement on a hill of the same name east of Kranj in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia with elevation 847m. It is centered on the church of Saint Judoc (Slovene: sveti Jošt), a landmark of Kranj.
Fully equiped we reached summit in less than an hour. At the top Grega joined us.

Amazing view of sunrise and a lot of pressures from Marusa, this time took me to Ratitovec. We started early in the morning from Hunting lodge in Prtovc. It took us about an hour to get to the top.
Fog valley makes this sunrise even more spactacular. Enjoy the video.

Day off and fog forced me to go some higher. I was not wake to early so Potoska gora, above Preddvor was a good destination. 1 hour, 700m of ascent was enough to got out of fog.

Konj

Saturday Storzic still left me some energy. This time I invited Ales to join me. Both have never been on Konj and since I was kind of in rush, this was perfect destination. We started in Kamniska bistrica.
From starting point you can also visit waterfall Orglice, 50 minuts of easy walk from parking. Ascent took us about 2 hours, quick photoshooting and descent back to point where we started.

Storzic through Peto zrelo

Due to good weather Slavc decided to take us to Storzic, but not on the regular route. Plan was to climb Kramarjeva gully but since there was some snow and we had no winter equipment, we took Peto zrelo.
We started at around 7a.m. in Lom pod Storzicem. After half an hour we reached the gully and climbing has begun. Our summit was conquered at about 10a.m.

Ascent to entrance of Peto zrelo

Mindmaze - Alchemist's chamber

Idea about being locked in room and try to escape became reallity. On rainy day, we decided to go to Mindmaze, currently one of three excape rooms in Ljubljana or in Slovenia. Idea is fantastic. You have many different items in room, but not all of them helps you to escape.  It was our first time. But we will definitely go back.
In the 16th century a famous alchemist was living in Ljubljana who was searching for the greatest secret of all time, the philosopher's stone, to turn metal into gold. The philosopher’s stone most secret ingredient is the dragon egg that was stolen from the Dragon that lived in the marshes that surround the Ljubljanica river. The legend says, the dragon egg is still hidden in this secret chamber waiting for discovery.

Špik in beautiful weather

All foreigners deserve to see some special, most beautiful parts of Slovenia. This time Tusi and Nada were foreigners, since they just got home from Kenya.
Weather forecast was not really got, but still better than for sunday, so we couldn't do much hiking. Špik sound as perfect decision. Špik is a mountain in the Slovenian Julian Alps. Its summit is at 2,472 m (8110 feet) above sea level. The mountain's name is a cognate of the English "spike," derived from its pointed shape.
We started from the begining of Krnica valley early in the morning, 4:45AM. Due to foggy weather, there was some light ran, but not to bad. We reached summit at about 9. Since it was cold and no views, we quicky descent back to parking.

Oktoberfest 2015

Octoberfest is about to finish. My cousin decided to organize everthing needed to go there and see if there is any beer left. Our, one day, jurney started early in the morning in Slovenia. After a few stops along the drive, we arrived to Munich around 11am.
Munich is the largest city and also a capital of the German state Bavaria with the population of 1.5 million. The name of the city is derived from the Old/Middle High German term Munichen, meaning "by the monks".
First things first. A quick tour around the city center. Due to sunny weather we quicky became thirsty. You guessed, beer time :)

Marko and Jerneja

Helena and France
Since it was the last weekend of Octoberfest and German Unity day it was very busy. So busy that you were unable to get a beer unless if you had a reservation. Beer price for 1L was around 10€ in Octoberfest and 8€ in city center.

Entrance

Busy, not really!

Cheers

Tolsta Košuta, Košutnikov turn

My friend Tusi did it last year, I will do it this year. Alpine school ofcourse. Our first, meeting tour lead us from Spodnja dolga njiva to Tolsta Košuta and Košutnikov turn. First part of the route, to Tolsta Košuta was easy. From there route became more difficult, since we continued towards Kosutnikov turn on the ridge between them. Anyway, we got to Kosutnikov turn safe and sound, without any problems on the way.
