Hiking Rjavina, Vodnikov dom, Pokljuka

4:30am, Kot valley, sounds like another hiking. It is. Kot is one of three glacial alpine valleys near Mojstrana, the others being Vrata and Krma.
Today's plan is to go to Pokljuka and conquer Rjavina on the way. Rjavina is located between two alp valleys. Valleys Kot and Krma. From top, that has an inscription book is nice great view to Triglav, Rž and peaks around Triglav.

Hiking Stol, Srednji vrh, Zelenica

Time to do another hiking. This time we (me, Marijan, Borut and Nada) decided to conquer Stol, from Austrian side, precisely from Medvedji Dol (Bärental). Stol is with 2236 meters highest peak of Karawanks,  mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps on the border between Slovenia to the south and Austria to the north and total lenght of 120km.
At 5am we met and Tusi's house from where Tusi's dad took up to Medvedji Dol. At 6 we started hiking.
At first trail was easy and not very steep, but later on got steeper and more difficult. Just like we planned we reached top of Stol at 9am.

Paragliding course No. 5

Time to do more height. This time we went to school take-off side Prebold. From here you can actually start flying for a couple hundred meter and about 40 meter of elevation.
In 3 hours I did 6 take-offs, which is pretty good, since there were at least 30 paragliders.

Ferrata Ceska koča

Since we were not able to do some climbing/hiking after picnic, which was organized by my ex-company Aviat network, for its 10 years anniversary, me and Marijan did it today, before work.

We started with our trip at around 4:30am from Ravenska kočna, Jezersko. It takes us about 30 minutes from parking to get to starting point of ferrata. Via ferrata is an Italian expresion from an iron road. This is a with iron protected climbing route, which can be found in the Alps and certain other locations.

And finally after hour and half at our destination Česka koča  mountain hut. It is located 1543 m above the sea level on the flatter ground called Spodnje Ravni under the northern walls of Mt. Grintovec. It was built in 1900 by the Czech branch of Slovene Mountaineering Association in Prague after which the hut was named.
After a short stop it was already time to descent to the starting point and go to work.

Sunny sunday is a perfect day to do some mountaineering. This time I decided to go to Grintovec. Grintovec is with 2558 m.a.s.l. highest peak of Kamniško-Savinjske alpe. I started my hiking just after 4am.
First stop was Cojzova koča on Kokrško sedlo. Kokrško sedlo (saddle), where Cojzova koča is located is about half way to the top. After a quick stop, I continued to my destination, Grintovec.
I reached top around 6:45.

Paragliding course No. 3

Since the weather forcast was good for next days, our instructor Ales scheduled training for next days. Today we left Ljubljana at 15:15 and drove to the same place as we were yesterday. Only the side of the hill was different, because of the wind direction.
Today we did our first flights, couple meters above ground and couple 10 meter in lenght. We were super satisfied. For the end we had a short meeting in nearby bar with beer.
